 One of important indicator to know condition of economics a region in visible specified period from number of Domestic Regional Bruto Product (PDRB), either on the basis of the price of applying and also to constant base price. PDRB is number of produce of goodses and service in one year yielded by all business unit in a certain region. Condition of economics of Banjarbaru year 2005 also visible from indicator for example: economics structure, economics growth, inflation rate and level of open unemployment. Economic Structure formed from added value created by each sector depicted from how big dependency an area to productive ability from every the sector. Economics structure of Banjarbaru the year 2005 in visible complete at data following : - Agriculture : 4,86%
- Mining: 8,73%
- Processing industry : 15,68%
- Electrics and cleanness water : 3,93%
- Building : 16,26%
- Commerce, restaurant and hotel : 21,66%
- Transportation and communications : 8,48%
- Finance, Building Rent and Company Service : 4,05%
- Services : 16,34%
Source: PDRB, BPS KOTA BANJARBARU, 2005 At the data seen that commercial sector, restaurant and hotel occupies highest position as supporter the increasing of Banjarbaru economy, then is followed sequentially by services sector, processing industrial sector and building sector. As for growth of economics the year 2005 is equal to 5,05%, inflation value 6,77% and level of open unemployment equal to 9,38%. Growth of economics in general during period 2002 – 2005 stable relative in the range of 4% up to 5%.
